Volvo Car's in-house magazine best in Sweden - again

Volvo Cars' in-house magazine, Agenda Magazine, has yet again been rated as the nation's best in-house magazine by winning The Swedish Publishing Award 2008.

Agenda Magazine was one of six nominated entries in its category and was awarded the first prize with the following statement from the jury:
"For a well-made and airy magazine which, without a lot off fuss, manages to create the feeling of We."

The competition entry was issue no 8/2007, with 14 pages on the theme of environment.

"I am very pleased. Especially with the emphasis from the jury on the "we"-part as that is one of the most important purposes with the magazine, to act as a common denominator and a uniting link for the Volvo employees around the world," says Editor-in-Chief, Ann-Mari Robinson.

The Swedish Publishing Award is a national competition and was arranged in Stockholm for the 16th year running. Prizes are awarded in 24 different categories. The purpose is to reward good design, well-made typography, and good texts well worth reading due to a clear and visual message, informative content, a defined target group and a distinct identity.

Agenda Magazine has been nominated five years in a row and has won four of these, in 2004, 2005, 2006 and now in 2008. Last year the magazine was awarded a European equivalent, the FEIEA Grand Prix, as best European multi-language in-house magazine.

Agenda Magazine is produced by Public Affairs in cooperation with agency Studio Desktop. It is published in some 33,000 copies in three languages - Swedish, English and Dutch.
