President and CEO, Volvo Cars of North America

 

Douglas C. Speck is President and CEO of Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA), Volvo Car Corp.'s largest global market. Headquartered in Rockleigh, NJ, Mr. Speck provides executive leadership to VCNA's marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support for Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, and oversight of Volvo operations in Canada and Mexico.

 

Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Sales and Retailer Operations for VCNA; a position he held from July, 2006. His various responsibilities included oversight of sales and service, network operations, variable marketing, commercial sales, customer satisfaction and training for Volvo Cars US retailers.

 

Prior to joining VCNA, Mr. Speck was the Chief Executive Officer of the Premier Automotive Group in Australia and New Zealand. The autonomous business unit included 100 retailers and 110 personnel. During his time in Australia, Mr. Speck helped lead the organization to a 40 percent increase in revenue year on year.

 

Mr. Speck has held a number of various positions within the Jaguar and Land Rover North American operations, including Vice President, Retail Operations in Irvine, California, and several regional management positions in Mahwah, New Jersey.

 

Mr. Speck has been employed by the Ford Motor Company since 1983. He began his career with Ford after graduating from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. Throughout his 24-year tenure with Ford, Mr. Speck's career has taken him around the U.S. and abroad.

 

In his free time, Mr. Speck enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and tennis and dabbling in the stock market.
