Volvo Cars Engine is part of the Volvo Cars organisation.
We are manufacturers and suppliers of high-class and cost-effective engines, components and powertrains/powerpacks.
Volvo Cars Engine consists of units: the engine factory in Skövde, Uddevalla, component manufacturers in Floby and the assembly plants in Torslanda and Ghent, Belgium.
The company's operations also include the Volvo Competence Centre training unit that works with clients in manufacturing industry.
As of 31 December 2006, the company had 1,547 employees in Skövde, 411 in Floby, 665 at the Engine & Chassis Centre in Torslanda, 21 in Engine Chassis Centre in Uddevalla and 318 in Ghent.
