The all new Volvo C70 is the second-generation convertible from Volvo Cars. It was launched at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2005. The aim was to create two cars in one – without compromising on either. A three-piece retractable hardtop transforms the Volvo C70 from coupe to convertible at the touch of a button.
Volvo Car Corporation will, when it in 2013 takes sole ownership of Pininfarina Sverige AB, cease the production in the Uddevalla plant."The low volumes in the Uddevalla plant does not justify a continued production" says Stefan Jacoby, President & CEO of Volvo Car Corporation.All employees in Uddevalla will be offered employment in Gothenburg or in other VCC production units in Sweden.
