Exterior detail. The see-through A-pillar was one of the most distinctive features in the Volvo SCC, which was introduced in 2001. Technology that monitors vehicles in the “blind spot” and alerts the driver was integrated in the side mirrors. Today this is known as BLIS (Blind Spot Information System).
