Volvo V60 Cross Country - Model Year 2023
The Volvo V60 Cross Country is our 5-door, 5-seat mid-size all-road estate. It is built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), Volvo Cars’ advanced modular product platform that underpins all Volvos in the 90 and 60 Series.
Underlining Volvo’s position as a car maker that combines good looks with everyday practicality, the V60 Cross Country highlights the company’s pedigree in family estates that cater to the diverse needs and realities of modern family life.
With all-wheel drive, Off Road mode, high ground clearance, Hill Descent Control and rear air suspension, the V60 Cross Country can help optimise traction, grip and safety.
The interior of the V60 Cross Country radiates Scandinavian design at its very best, with clean lines, exquisite detailing and genuine materials. The options include luxurious leather-free interiors and a handcrafted gear shifter in genuine Swedish crystal made exclusively for Volvo Cars by Orrefors.
The advanced air purifier system prevents up to 95 per cent of hazardous PM 2.5 particles from entering the cabin. No matter the conditions outside, the solution can help occupants enjoy better and healthier air quality, while having the possibility to monitor particle and pollen levels outside the car.
Connectivity and infotainment
The Volvo V60 Cross Country comes equipped with an infotainment system jointly developed with Google featuring built-in Google apps and services. Intuitive and convenient, this next generation infotainment system offers customers unprecedented personalisation and an unparalleled connectivity, which is further enhanced through the Digital Services package.
The centrepiece of the Digital Services package is the access to Google apps and services*, which offer hands-free help with Google Assistant, best-in-class navigation through Google Maps and a broad offer of native in-car apps via Google Play.
During model year 2023, the V60 Cross Country will be enabled to receive larger software and operating system updates over the air.
The V60 Cross Country is powered by Volvo’s mild hybrid powertrains, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 48 volt mild hybrid variants are based on both the petrol and diesel powertrains. All-wheel drive is standard on all Cross Country models.
The mild hybrid technology offers drivers smoother take-offs and up to 15 per cent fuel savings and emission reductions in real-world driving.
More details around the powertrain offer can be found in the technical specifications.
Safety and driver assistance
The V60 Cross Country showcases Volvo Cars’ focus on automotive safety: the SPA platform has yielded the strongest Volvo cars to date thanks to the extensive use of boron steel, as well as numerous safety systems designed to protect people inside and outside the car.
As of model year 2023, the V60 Cross Country is equipped with Volvo Cars’ latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensor platform – a modern, scalable active safety system that consists of an array of radars, cameras and ultrasonic sensors.
This platform enables the development and deployment of active safety systems, such as the detection of other road users, automatic braking and collision avoidance. Through the Pilot Assist function, it also allows for gentle driver support from standstill up to highway speeds.
