Volvo Cars sold 131,889 cars in the first quarter of 2020, down 18.2 per cent compared with the same period last year. The company’s global sales performance was affected by the continued impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Volvo Cars reported global sales of 45,752 cars in January, down 9.7 per cent compared with the same period last year. Volumes last month were impacted due to a new, updated tax system in Sweden and a lower sales performance in China.
Volvo Cars maintained a solid sales momentum in the first nine months of the year, with global volumes up 7.4 per cent, compared with the same period last year. The company sold a total of 507,704 cars during the period.
