Biography
Lennart Stegland has been with the Volvo Car Corporation since 1978. He began his career within Volvo Research & Development before moving to the commercial side and concentrating on brand development, sales and marketing, gaining worldwide experience on the way.
He took over as business director in Brussels in 1993, where he led the development of private importers for Volvo Car Corporation in Europe. In 1997, Lennart Stegland was appointed managing director for the sales company in Austria. In a logical progression, he formed and managed a business development hub to develop the market in east central Europe, establishing a structure of sales companies, importers, and dealers in ten countries.
Lennart Stegland became regional president for Volvo Car Central Europe in 2003, which included responsibility for sales operations in Germany, Switzerland, and the East Central Europe Hub.
He has been President of Volvo Car Special Vehicles since 2006. Volvo Car Special Vehicles is dedicated to develop premium products, including the Volvo C30 Electric.
