BIOGRAPHY

Klas’ professional business career began at ABB and has included both line and management consultant positions in a global business environment. Klas has undertaken business transformation and IT improvement positions where leadership, business acumen and strategy have been key enablers for operational and strategic success. As a part of his professional engagements, Klas has lived in Taiwan, New Zealand and Norway.

 

Klas joined Volvo Car Group in 2010 as CIO. Since joining, Klas has led the successful IT separation from Ford Motor Company and has driven the development and implementation of a business founded and customer oriented IT strategy. This consequently led business growth in general and specifically in China with relevant IT solutions to support manufacturing, R&D and sales activities. Under Klas’s leadership, the IT strategy has proven to be an organic part of the business agenda that drives and enables innovation, as well as the development of the Service and Digital agenda at Volvo Car Group to support the ambitious growth plans.

 

Klas is a native of Gothenburg and worked in the Swedish Naval Reserve whilst studying economics, IT and logistics at UniversityHe is married and has three children.
