Volvo Cars New V60 Makes North American Debut at the New York International Auto Show

NEW YORK, NY. (March 28th, 2018.) The new V60, Volvo’s five-door, mid-size premium estate, made its North American debut today at the New York International Auto Show in front of media and industry professionals.

 

The new, second-generation, V60 was built on Volvo Cars’ Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, the same platform the XC60 and 90 Series vehicles have been developed on. The V60 reinforces Volvo’s stance as an industry leader in safety while also offering advanced connectivity, luxurious design and functional versatility.

 

In Canada, the V60 will launch in Q4 2018, with a starting price of $43,900. At the time of launch, it will arrive in Canada as a model year 2019. The V60 will be offered at launch with Volvo’s T5 and T6 Drive-E powertrains. The T5 will be available with the Momentum vehicle trim and front-wheel-drive capabilities. The T6 engine will be available in both Momentum and Inscription vehicle trims with standard all-wheel-drive capabilities. Both the T5 and T6 are 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder, 8-speed engines; the T5 is turbocharged and offers 250 horsepower and 258 lb. ft. of torque; the T6 engine is turbocharged and supercharged offering 316 horsepower and 295 lb. ft. of torque.
