Nedcar was established on 1 December 1991 and is equally owned by Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) and Mitsubishi Motor Corporation (MMC). The plant is including 4 shops; press, body, paint and final assembly. All plant shops are running in three shifts worktime. The Volvo S/V40 and the Mitsubishi Carisma are produced on the same main line in all shops. The Mitsubishi Spacestar has unique production lines in body and final assembly shops.
The number of employees within Nedcar excluding Product Design and Engineering (PD&E) is appr. 5.560 people (Dec. -00).
Nedcar is ISO 9002 certified.
