Volvo Canada announces newly appointed Chief Financial Officer

Latest addition to executive management team contributes to long term Canadian growth strategy

 

TORONTO, ON (June 17, 2013) - Volvo Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Girgis as Chief Financial Officer for Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. Girgis will join the ranks of Volvo Canada at the new head office in Richmond Hill commencing June 24th. He will work to further strengthen the executive management team in Canada by implementing specific financial plans and analysis parameters in line with Canadian policies. He will also oversee accounting and administration duties while executing corporate development to ensure long term growth strategies are met.

Girgis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Schulich School of Business, York University with a specialization in finance and accounting. He also has extensive experience in the industry from past positions at the BMW Group and previously Volvo Canada where he held various roles within the finance organization

He will report directly to Marc Engelen, President & CEO Volvo Cars of Canada Corp.
