Volvo Canada Announces December Sales

 

TORONTO, ON (January 4, 2011) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. reported an increase in sales of 13.8 percent in December with a total of 510 units. Canadian sales for 2011 were up 4 percent over 2010, totaling 6,815 vehicles sold.

 

The top seller of the month was once again the XC60 premium crossover, selling 174 units with second place held by the S60 which sold 109 units last month. Sales of the XC70 were also up 17 percent, totaling 103 units in December.

 

"The XC60 continues to be a popular choice for Canadian consumers and we expect even more enthusiasm for the XC lineup of vehicles with the recent announcement of the 2013 XC90," says Jeff Pugliese, president and CEO, Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. "The award-winning SUV has received significant refinements, as it continues to personify distinguished Scandinavian luxury."
