TORONTO (July 4, 2006) – Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. and its retailers reported sales of 958 units during June, the company announced. June sales were off 12.8 per cent vs the 1,098 vehicles sold in the same month of 2005.
For the first six months of 2006, Volvo sales totaled 5,725 vehicles, down 6.3 per cent from the same period last year.
“The enthusiasm for the stylish C70 hard-top convertible, news of the completely new S80 luxury sedan early next year and this fall’s unveiling of the new C30 will all contribute to retailer traffic and sales momentum through the summer months,” said Steve Blyth, president and chief executive of Volvo Canada. “New cars are always good for business.”
