TORONTO, ON (May 3, 2011) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. reported a double digit increase of 11.4 percent over the previous month with a total of 705 vehicles sold in April. Year-to-date sales were also up 2.1 percent over the first four months of 2010.
The top selling model in Canada for April was the award-winning XC60 with 184 units sold, a 54.6 percent increase over April 2010. Sales of the award-winning S60 sport sedan continue to grow every month with a 47.7 percent increase in April. The S60 was recently voted Sedan of the Year by the International Car of the Year jury.

"Our national advertising campaign and the implementation of such initiatives as the Spring to Life Event have increased brand exposure, consumer interest and showroom traffic, generating stronger sales results."
