Volvo Canada Announces February Sales

TORONTO, ON (March 2, 2011) Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. today announced a sales increase of 2.7 percent in February with a total of 422 vehicles sold. Year-to-date sales are up 1.5 percent in Canada.

 

Sales of the all-new S60 sport sedan continue to improve with a 4.29 percent increase over January, while the top seller for the month of February was the XC60 crossover with an increase of 8.49 percent. The recent winner of a Canadian Black Book award for retained value, interest in the S80 luxury sedan continues to be strong with a 29.6 percent increase over January and a 118.8 percent jump from February 2010.

 

"This increase in sales demonstrates consumer interest in our strong portfolio of vehicles," says Jeff Pugliese, President & CEO, Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. "We look forward to continued growth this year, thanks to the introduction of 2012 models like the S60 T5."
