Volvo Canada announces strong July sales

 

Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. today announced sales were up 20.5 percent in the month of July compared to the same period last year, with a total of 712 vehicles sold.  Year-to-date sales are up 2.4 percent with 4,114 vehicles sold, compared to 4,018 at this time last year.

 

The XC60 was the top-selling vehicle in the month, with 211 sold, a year-over-year increase of 73 per cent.

 

"We're pleased with the results in July and in particular with sales of the XC60," says Jeff Pugliese, President & CEO, Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. "We're also very excited about this September when the all-new S60 hits the market. There's already a lot of buzz about its look and design as well as its industry leading safety features like the unique Pedestrian Detection System with Full Auto Brake."

 

Volvo Canada previewed the S60 to rave reviews at special Experiential Tour events in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver at the end of July, where people got to see and try out what is being dubbed the "Naughty Volvo" because of its sexy new design.
