Mr. Krondahl is Executive Vice President of Marketing for Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA), based in Irvine California. VCNA is the largest global market for Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden. Mr. Krondahl's duties include shaping VCNA marketing strategy and the oversight of all marketing-related activities. He is responsible for driving the brand strategy and supporting the implementation to achieve profitable growth and premium brand development for the overall success of the company.
Mr. Krondahl possesses a wealth of experience in the field of marketing and product positioning. Prior to his current position, Mr. Krondahl's career highlights consist of the Global Market Director for Saab Cars. With 41 markets under his guidance, he developed a successful network that significantly grew the business. Mr. Krondahl was also instrumental in developing the strategy and launch plans for Saab's entry into the Chinese market during this time.
Previously, Mr. Krondahl was Vice President for Saab cars in the US, where he was responsible product strategy and for the development and implementation of a new advertising strategy in the United States.
Mr. Krondahl has also held a broad range of positions and responsibilities within the Volvo organization. As Vice President for Global Marketing in Sweden, he helped form the current Volvo for Life brand signature and was influential in the successful reorganization of Volvo's Global Marketing operation.
In addition to his background as a mechanical engineer, Mr. Krondahl attended DIHM (Business School in Sweden) for Business Administration.
Mr. Krondahl is married, with two children. One of his main interests is golf - he was a golf professional for three years during the 1970s. Mr. Krondahl is Fluent in English and Swedish and speaks German.
