TORONTO (November 1, 2005) – Volvo Cars of Canada Ltd. today announced sales of 952 vehicles for the month of October, a total that matched the pace of the same month in 2004.
Year-to-date, Volvo retailers have sold 9,933 vehicles, an increase of 3.9 per cent over the 9,560 vehicles sold during the first ten months of 2004.
“The month of October saw strong sales from Volvo’s core models, including the S60, XC70 and XC90,” said Larry Futers, vice president of sales for Volvo Cars of Canada Ltd. “What’s more, as we enter some of the colder months of the year, Volvo retailers have seen increased customer interest in vehicles equipped with all-wheel drive. In fact, slightly less than two thirds of all Volvo vehicles sold last month were equipped with all-wheel drive.”
