RICHMOND HILL, ON (Thursday, January 5, 2023) – Volvo Car Canada Ltd. is pleased to report its sales results for 2022: a total of 10,289 vehicles were retailed throughout the year, down 7 percent compared with the previous year. This result was supported by December sales, in which 801 vehicles were retailed, for an increase of 7 percent when compared to December of 2021.
Led by the volume driving XC40 Recharge, demand for Volvo’s exciting lineup of plug-in hybrid and pure electric SUVs remained strong in December, with electrified powertrains accounting for a record 35 percent of all new vehicle sales for the brand in Canada.
Volvo Car Canada’s pre-owned division, Certified by Volvo, retailed a total of 244 units for the month, up 3.8 percent compared with the same month last year.
