Volvo Car Canada Ltd. Reports July Sales Results

  • Volvo Car Canada overall sales down 20.7 percent over July of 2021
  • Recharge models (EV and PHEV) represented 17 percent of total July sales nationwide
  • Volvo Car Canada reported overall sales of 875 vehicles in July 2022

 

RICHMOND HILL, ON (Wednesday, August 3, 2022) – Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reports sales of 875 vehicles for the month of July, a decrease of 20.7 percent when compared to July of last year. Year-to-date, the company has sold a total of 6,048 vehicles in Canada, representing a decrease of 3.2 percent when compared to the same time last year.

 

Led by the volume driving XC60 Recharge, demand for Volvo’s exciting lineup of plug-in hybrids and pure electrics remained strong, with the company’s Recharge models accounting for ­­­17 percent of total volume as industry challenges persisted.

Volvo Car Canada’s pre-owned division, Certified by Volvo, retailed a total of 311 units for the month, representing a slight increase when compared to July of last year.

 

“Demand for our cars remains strong and we will continue to navigate the industry-wide inventory challenges,” said Matt Girgis, managing director, Volvo Car Canada Ltd.
