RICHMOND HILL, ON (Wednesday, November 3, 2021) – Volvo Car Canada Ltd. is pleased to report a strong October sales result: a total of 1,014 vehicles were retailed throughout the month, for an increase of 0.9 percent when compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date, the company continues to outpace last year’s results, and has delivered a total of 9,434 units, for an increase of 30.9 percent.
Led by the volume driving XC60 SUV, Volvo’s exciting lineup of plug-in hybrid and pure electric SUVs continued to resonate with the Canadian consumer. October marked the 16th consecutive month of year-over-year growth for the Volvo brand in Canada. As in previous months, these results were supported by continued demand for the brand’s Recharge vehicles, with electrified powertrains accounting for 27 percent of all new vehicle sales in October.
Certified by Volvo, Volvo Car Canada’s pre-owned division, retailed 270 units in the month of October. Year-to-date, 2,871 Certified by Volvo units have been delivered, representing a year-over-year increase of 4.1 percent.
