RICHMOND HILL, ON (Thursday, April 1, 2021) – Today Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reported sales of 873 units for the month of March. This result represents a year-over-year increase of 265.3 percent. March also marked a record month for Certified by Volvo sales with 344 units sold, representing a year-over-year increase of 126.3 percent.
The company generated positive momentum in the first quarter as dealerships across the country continued to operate with strict health and safety measures in place. In Q1 of 2021, Volvo Car Canada Ltd. retailed 2099 New Car sales and 834 Certified by Volvo sales, resulting in an increase of 50.0 percent and 42.0 percent compared to Q1 2020, respectively.
“With our best Certified by Volvo sales on record, March represented a strong close to the first quarter for Volvo Cars in Canada,” said Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Car Canada Ltd. “Despite challenging market conditions, the outstanding performance of our pre-owned channels is encouraging and signals strong demand and continued year-over-year growth for our retail channels as we start the second quarter.”
