RICHMOND HILL, ON (Tuesday, January 5, 2021) – Today Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reported sales of 1,000 units for the month of December, a year over year increase of 4.2 percent. For the 2020 calendar year, Volvo Cars sold a grand total of 9,213 vehicles in Canada down 9.6 percent for the full year.
December also closed out the year with another consecutive month of growth for Certified by Volvo, with 343 units sold, a year over year increase of 66.5 percent. For the 2020 calendar year, Volvo Cars Canada sold a grand total of 3,461 certified units, up 32 percent for the full year.
“2020 was certainly an unforgettable year and even within uncertain market conditions, Volvo Cars persevered with the support and dedication of our team and Retailer partners across Canada,” said Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Cars Canada. “December closed out the year with six months of consecutive sales growth within our Retailer and pre-owned sales channels. We now enter 2021 with a strong momentum to continue to grow our segment share in Canada.”
