RICHMOND HILL, ON (Tuesday, August 4, 2020) – Today Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reported sales of 1,012 units for the month of July, a month over month increase of 22 percent and a year over year growth of 11.8 percent.
In July, new car sales through the Retail channel showcased the best performing month since 1999 with Retail channel volume growing 23 percent year over year, indicating strong customer demand. July also marked another consecutive month of growth for Certified by Volvo sales, with 382 units sold, the highest Certified by Volvo month on record.
“Last month was an important milestone for Volvo Cars in Canada, as we continued to strengthen our growth position, posting our first month of year over year growth in new vehicles sales since the COVID-19 pandemic hit,” said Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Cars Canada. “This is a strong sign of recovery in an exceptionally challenging environment which we can attribute to the dedication of our Volvo customers, team and Retailers across the country.”
