Volvo Car Corporation Announces Amanda Ignatius as Head of Corporate and Media Communications of Volvo Car of Canada


RICHMOND HILL, ON. (June 3, 2019.) Effective today, Amanda Ignatius joins Volvo Car Canada Ltd. as Head of Corporate and Media Communications.


Based in Toronto, Amanda will drive corporate storytelling, media relations, product, brand, and internal communications for Volvo Cars’ Canadian operation.


A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies, Amanda brings with her a mix of corporate and agency experience, most recently serving as Senior Product Communications Manager at General Motors Canada.


While at GM, Amanda led the planning and execution of vehicle launches, media events, auto shows and brand-building programs for Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Program highlights include the #BuickStyle Events which were recognized with multiple awards, including the 2019 Diamond SABRE Award for Superior Achievement in Brand-Building and Gold for Brand Development Campaign at the 2018 ACE Awards.
