Volvo announces May sales results

Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. today announced vehicle sales reached 773 units in May, a 26 percent increase over April.

Year-to-date, Volvo Canada sold 2,526 units, off 16.4 per cent from the first five months of 2008.

"Volvo vehicle sales continue to accelerate into what is traditionally the busiest season for the automotive industry," said Jeff Pugliese, President and CEO of Volvo Canada. "This is, of course, aided by the increasing availability of the highly anticipated XC60 crossover at retailers across the country."
