Volvo Car Canada Ltd. Announces Organizational Announcements in Sales and Customer Service

 

RICHMOND HILL, ON. (August 19th, 2016.) The following organizational announcements have been made for Volvo Car Canada Ltd.:

 

Carol Kitchen, Vice President Customer Service, will retire September 1, 2017 after 30 years of dedicated service with the company. Prior to retiring, Ms. Kitchen will continue to support Volvo Canada by assisting the Managing Director with special projects. 

 

Carol joined Volvo in 1987 and spent her career with Volvo in various positions with increasing responsibility in Finance, Marketing, Network Development, Sales & Customer Service. Carol received a Certified General Accountant’s designation from CGA Ontario.

 

Daniel Martin, Vice President Network Development will assume the role of Customer Service Director for Volvo Canada effective September 1, 2016.

 

Mr. Martin started his automotive career in 2001 with Mazda, and later Nissan and Infiniti Canada, where he held roles in Sales and Fixed Operations. He then assumed roles in Regional Aftersales Management with Porsche Canada, and Network Development with Suzuki Canada. Mr. Martin joined Volvo Car Canada Ltd. in 2013 in Network Development as part of Canada growth strategy and was instrumental in developing the retailer network. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, with a major in Marketing, from Concordia University.

 

Hugues Bissonnette, Regional Operations Manager, Eastern Canada has been appointed Director of Sales Operations effective August 1, 2016.

 

Hugues started his automotive career in 1997 when he joined Volvo Canada in Customer Service. He held a number of positions in Sales, Product Planning and Marketing in Canada, the US and Sweden over a 10 year period.  Hugues then spent five years outside of Volvo as a general manager for car and RV dealerships and had an assignment with Nissan. He re-joined Volvo in 2012 as part of the Canadian growth strategy and has held the position of Regional Operations Manager for Eastern Canada. Hugues studied in business administration at the College of General and Professional Education in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and holds a diploma in automotive marketing from Georgian College.
