Volvo announces January sales results

 

TORONTO (February 3, 2009) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. today announced vehicle sales reached 286 units in January, off 42.9 per cent from the same month in 2008.

 

"The market continues to present some tough challenges," said Jeff Pugliese, President and CEO of Volvo Canada. "However, we did see some success with the XC90, which registered a 7 percent increase in sales over January of last year. The company is also working hard on the launch of the new XC60 crossover that will arrive this Spring. The XC60 is a vehicle we feel will resonate well with many Canadians."
