Volvo announces December sales results

 

TORONTO (January 5, 2009) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. today announced vehicle sales reached 268 units in December, off 32.7 per cent from the same month in 2007.

 

For the full year, Volvo Canada sold 6,507 units, off 26.7 per cent from the 2007 total.

 

"Despite a challenging twelve months, we are looking forward to 2009," said Jeff Pugliese, President and CEO of Volvo Canada. "We have some terrific programs for vehicles this year, including a cross-promotion with Aeroplan that has just been launched.  In the Spring, the new XC60 crossover will arrive, bringing with it a new design language for the brand as well as the next generation of preventive safety systems with City Safety."
