Volvo announces September sales results

TORONTO (October 1, 2008) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. today announced vehicle sales reached 543 units in September.  The total vehicles sold in September represent a 90 unit increase over August and 119 over July.

"From the start of the third quarter of 2008, the company's sales performance has been trending upwards month-over-month," said Jeff Pugliese, President and CEO of Volvo Canada. "With 2009 model year vehicles currently at Volvo retailers across Canada, we're working hard to continue building on that momentum we saw over the last three months."

The September total is off 30.8 per cent from the 785 units sold during the same month last year. Year-to-date, Volvo Canada has sold 5,313 units, off 30.0 per cent from the 7,589 sold during the first nine months of 2007.
