Volvo Canada Announces August Sales


TORONTO, ON. September 5, 2014 - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. reported total sales of 309 units in the month of August 2014 compared to 437 sales in August 2013, representing a 29% decrease.


The ever-popular XC60 was the top-selling vehicle this past month with 119 units sold, totaling close to 900 units sold year to date in 2014.


Year to date, Volvo Canada has sold a total of 3,049 in 2014 compared to 3,364 vehicles sold year to date in 2013. This represents a decrease of 9.4% compared to the year-to-date sales from 2013.


“We are pleased to see the increasing sales of the XC60 and expect a positive end of year thanks to the exciting new additions to our product lineup.” said Marc Engelen, President & CEO, Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. “We also look to build on our current sales with the recent unveiling of the all-new XC90, and eventual launch in the first half of 2015.”
