TORONTO, ON (Feb. 3, 2014) - Volvo Cars of Canada Corp. reported January new vehicle sales of 323 units, a 24.2 percent increase over the previous month and a 14.9% increase over January 2013, resulting in five consecutive months of year over year increases. January Certified Pre-owned (CPO) sales were 101 units, an increase of 68.3 percent over December 2013.
The top performers for the month among new vehicles were the S60 sports sedan and the XC60 premium crossover, which sold 133 and 82 units during the month of January respectively. Both the S60 and XC60 are among only 22 vehicles that were awarded the prestigious new Top Safety Pick+ by IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety).
January also ushered in an exciting new Volvo model with the availability of the V60 Sportswagon in Canada for the very first time. Arriving at retailers’ mid-month, the V60 has already received an enthusiastic reaction from consumers and automotive media alike.
