NedCar Plant Netherlands

Nedcar was established on 1 December 1991 by Volvo Car Corporation (VCC), Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and the Dutch State. As from 30 March 2001 the company i fully owned by MMC.

 

The plant is including 4 shops; Press, Body, Paint and Final Assembly. During 2001 the Press Shop and and Paint Shop ran in three shift work time, Body Shop and Assembly Shop in two shift regime.

 

The Volvo S/V40 and the Mitsubishi Carisma are produced on the same main line in all shops. The Mitsubishi Spacestar has unique production lines in Body Shop and Assembly Shop.

 

The number of employees within Nedcar is appr. 4.900 people

 

(4.600 FTE) at the end of 2001.

 

Nedcar is ISO 9002 certified.
