The Torslanda Plant was opened in 1964. It is a complete car factory with body, paint and final assembly shop. Number of employees approx. 4.200 (Jan. -02).

Torslanda Plant is today producing the Volvo S80, V70 and V70XC.

The S80 production started in spring -98 and is supplying all markets worldwide. Production of the new V70 started last quarter -99.

The production of XC90 will start in spring -02
