Björn Sällstrom joined the Volvo Car Corporation as Senior Vice President Human Resources and member of the Volvo Cars Management Team in March 2007. Prior to this he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Luvata International in London, a position he held since 2005.

During the first 15 years of his career Bjorn Sällstrom worked in the airline industry and held various managerial positions. During this period, he also served as a member of the negotiating body in the collective agreement negotiations for the airline industry.

Over the past 16 years of his career he has headed Human Resources operations and been a member of the Group Management Teams of the various companies for which he has worked, spanning the areas of retailing, distribution and logistics, engineering and manufacturing, health care and metal fabrication. The companies for which he has worked were both public listed and non-listed.

Björn Sällström recently moved back to Sweden from England where he has lived for the past two years.

In his free time, he enjoys listening to music of all kinds, watching and practising a variety of sports and creating memorable dinner experiences for friends and family.
