Ab dem Jahr 2025 sollen die in neu eingeführten Volvo Modellen verwendeten Kunststoffe zu mindestens 25 Prozent aus wiederverwertetem Material bestehen. Um die Realisierbarkeit seines Vorhabens zu unterstreichen, hat der schwedische Premium-Hersteller einen Volvo XC60 mit Plug-in-Hybridantrieb T8 Twin Engine entsprechend umgebaut. Das Mittelklasse-SUV sieht genauso aus wie das Serienmodell, allerdings wurden mehrere Kunststoff-Komponenten durch vergleichbare Bauteile aus recyceltem Material ersetzt. Stuart Templar, Head of Sustainability bei Volvo Cars, präsentiert dieses Fahrzeug.
